Before founding AVest Development, Mr. Rechter worked as investment banker for ABN Amro. During his banking career, he gained in depth knowledge of investment and finance, working as capital structuring advisor, senior banker, and finally as financial services EU government affairs lobbyist in Brussels. He was a banker to several large developers and construction companies, and involved in structuring finance for large scale projects.

Mr. Rechter is also a founder of Baltic Venture Partners, an investment advisory firm active in Central and Eastern Europe.

Mr. Rechter received MBA degrees from William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Rochester and the Netherlands Nyenrode Business School.
